Slow Hello!

I'm Janna, a researcher-artist, secular yoga teacher, and other things in one.

"Slow" happened to me in 2021 when I was hit by a car while biking. During the recovery, I created this website to explore the notion of slow and collect more stories about slowing down experiences. Now I host The Slowing Down Podcast, occasionally write about Slow Life, and provide support for folks who need to balance their body-mind or lives in general.

In previous years, I ran a video production company, lived like a monk, studied cinema, travelled in dozens of countries, survived four years in NYC, and got Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts.

Currently, I reside in Quebec with my beloved partner Rémy. I work part-time as an Assistant Researcher at the University of Toronto and volunteer as a Teaching Artist at the online film school for Ukrainian teens. You can hire me for life coaching, travel mentoring, consulting on your art projects, or for yoga training. Contact me for more information and availability.

I find purpose and joy in being a supportive and inspiring person with whom you can develop a better understanding of your life priorities, create habits to balance your body-mind, take steps to slow down, or simply learn a secular non-esoteric form of yoga practice.

I wrote this sentence to avoid saying I'm a life coach and a yoga teacher. For some of you, it can be curse words. No judgment. These practices are not regulated, and you never know how it is going to work for you. To check if I'm the right fit, read some of my clients' statements below and request a free 15-minute call before hiring me as a coach or trainer.

My current rate is $120/h. If you can't afford it, don't feel bad and no worries. Write me a message and schedule a 15-minutes free call anyway and let's see how I can help.

Contact me below for availability, collaborations, questions, or just say hi! (-:

"No measurement compares to a personalized approach. And this is not just a beautiful form of speech, Janna sees your body as the whole. While doing various entertaining exercises, you will learn from Janna a lot of concepts, theory and practice - the Kristin Linklater's method for opening your voice or the Alexander's technique for your body posture. All this relaxes the muscles from inside, that not every massage can be as effective. Janna, my body is immensely grateful to you!"

"Janna is an experienced instructor and at the same time a very nice person. She is very attentive and takes into account my feedback and physical condition to either moderate or bump up the exercises. I really enjoy these classes and get a shot of energy after every one of them. Thank you, Janna!"

"Janna has always been very supportive and understanding of my journey regardless of how weak or strong I felt. Our training sessions inspire me and give me confidence to challenge myself even further. Together, we improved my diet and came up with a combination of exercises that got me where I wanted."
